Sudheer Poluru joined O-H Community Partners in October 2016 as an Associate in the Chicago office. He is passionate about the collaborative economic advancement of under-served communities, particularly with respect to education and job creation. In his current role, he supports capacity building efforts for women and minority-owned businesses.
Prior to joining O-H Community Partners, Sudheer worked at FundWell, a startup technology company designed to help small business owners access loans with lower interest rates and better terms. There he oversaw the business development pipeline to determine growth opportunities for women and minority-owned businesses. Sudheer also worked as a business development intern for TerraCycle in Brazil, an international social enterprise focused on addressing environmental issues by reducing landfill waste.
Sudheer spent the year after graduating college traveling in Brazil and Colombia. In Brazil, he learned how to make chocolate from start to finish as he investigated issues surrounding food security on a cacau-farm in rural Bahia. Sudheer also worked with a hostel in Salvador to identify new sources of revenue and implement community engagement activities, such as a weekly BBQ and surf lessons by the manager of the hostel. In Bogota, Colombia, he volunteered at an after-school program for low-income youth where he helped students with their homework. In addition, he coordinated workshops on how to share and how to resolve disputes with words. Sudheer has intermediate Portuguese and beginner Spanish language capabilities.
Sudheer has a B.A. in Economics with a focus in Psychology from Harvard University.
